Degrassi gets 5 Gemini nominations

31 Aug

Today the 25th annual Gemini Award nominations were handed out and Degrassi did quite well. The following are all from season 9, not season 10 (Season 10 would qualify for next year’s Gemini Awards) in case you’re wondering. These are all well-deserved, but I think the one that strikes me as the most important nomination given would have to be Stefan Brogren’s for best direction in a youth series for “Beat It (Part 2).” It takes a lot of thought, time and energy to come up with a scenerio that will fit and actually make sense. Stefan not only did this but for it being his first time directing, he did a fantastic job!
